But it's close!
The addition by Mountain Trails of a biking and hiking trail along the western perimeter of the Swaner Natures Preserve was a real treat for us in Park City! It’s a beautiful, flat ride anyone can enjoy. We especially love the boardwalk.
This cache will take a bit of thinking and exploring. It’s easily accessible on the trail, but not as accessible from Utah 224 – a high traffic highway where stopping can be dangerous (and so is the climb over the barbed wire).
You'll need to do a little thinking and turn your mind upside down a bit to find this micro. And you'll need to bring pencil for the log.
Make sure to park your bikes off the trail, and keep an eye out for other bikes passing through so you don't block their path during your search. Have fun!

There's no parking at the cache site, so you'll need to approach from trailheads at either end. And bring a pencil for the log.
Our favorite time of year on this stretch of the McLeod Creek Trail is springtime when the water is rushing through the creek from the thaw. It’s always nice to take a break and sit on the bench and watch the water spill down from the mountains.
There are several other caches in the nearby area. And Mountain Trails is building a new sound garden on a beautiful spot along the creek just a tenth of a mile away.Sit down and rest2007-08-06T18:23:47Publish Listingmtn-manPublishedGC14X4JNewpark Mining History by Tumbleweed and Cactus, Traditional Cache (2/1)http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=723382ed-27e2-4702-9bd4-4676a1cf044dNewpark Mining HistoryGeocacheGeocache|Traditional CacheNewpark Mining HistoryTumbleweed and CactusTumbleweed and CactusTraditional CacheMicro21United StatesUtahThis cache location features some interesting artwork along the trail network near Newpark and the Swaner Nature Preserve. It's a micro, so bring a pencil for the log.One of the highlights of a bike ride around Newpark and the Swaner Nature Preserve in Park City is some of the beautiful artwork, especially the three bronze cyclists at this location.
The cache is located on the Mountain Trails network and easily accessed by bike or foot. This can be a high traffic area at times, and is close to the condos, so be sure you’re not being watched by muggles.Think metal and mining2007-08-06T18:24:49Publish Listingmtn-manPublished
